"Can't download the software because of a network problem." The popup has an Install button on clicking "Install", the popup briefly tries to connect to the server, then gives this message: "A software update is required to connect to (device name)." After iTunes finished installing, I connect both my devices, and got this same message for each: On Monday morning, Sept 17, I downloaded and installed iTunes 12.8 to prepare for updating my iPhone X and iPad Pro to the newly released iOS 12.
